Anthurium ochranthum
X Anthurium clarinervium

Anthurium ochranthum X A. clarinervium

ochranthum x clarinervium 1

This plant is the result of our first attempt to get the fragrant inflorescences of A. ochranthum onto a hybrid with velvety silver-veined leaves. The first inflorescence on this plant did not emit any detectable odor, but that may have been due to the immaturity of this plant, overall. I expect this one to become quite a large and handsome specimen, even if it does not provide the perfumy fragrance of the A. ochranthum.
