Alocasia x portora
As is clearly evident from this picture, the Alocasia x portora can attain an impressive size when grown under the right conditions. The shed to the left is about 6 feet tall, so one can easily figure the overall height of this plant to be around 12 feet. This individual is exceptional in another way as well; note the leaf underside facing the camera and you will see that it has a double tip!
We still have offshoots of this particular selection, to which we intend to give the cultivar name, "Thunder Waves". This is an example of a "Portora Red".
