Anthurium andreanum "Florida Beauty"
This plant came to us as Anthurium andreanum "Florida Beauty", and it was in full bloom when we acquired it. After getting it established, we proceeded with hybridization, using pollen from the Anthurium sp. "Jamaican" as well as Anthurium sp. "Giant Heartleaf".
The spadix to the left is the results of the cross with "Jamaican" and the spadix to the right is the result of the cross with "Giant Heartleaf".
What these progeny will turn out to be is what we are awaiting with great anticipation. Patience is the byword, however, as Anthurium plants do take a while both to set seed and to reach maturity from seed.
